The wedding of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal has been put on hold following her father's sudden health issues. According to people close to the couple, Palash also developed health complications on Sunday night and had to be taken to the hospital immediately. Doctors confirmed that his condition was caused by a viral infection and severe acidity. As per national media reports, he has now recovered and has been released after receiving treatment.

Smriti Mandhana’s father also fell sick on Sunday and is currently receiving medical care at a hospital in Sangli. Earlier, the couple had already begun their pre-wedding festivities, including the Mehndi, Haldi, and Sangeet ceremonies. The wedding was scheduled for Sunday, but her manager explained that Smriti decided to postpone the ceremony due to her father’s health condition.
