Allu Aravind is collaboratively producing Ramayana with Bollywood producers in a prestigious venture. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film has always been the center of industry speculation about its cast. Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash have already been officially confirmed as part of the project. Recently, Bollywood senior actor Sunny Deol has also joined the Ramayana team. Sunny Deol assured that the movie will surely captivate audiences.

Sunny Deol compared the movie to Avatar and Planet of the Apes and mentioned that Ramayana would be a massive project with spectacular visuals to transport audiences to another world. Special attention is being given to VFX to ensure a visually stunning experience. Sunny Deol confidently stated that audiences would love this movie, though he refrained from disclosing his role in the film at this stage. Reports suggest that he may portray Hanuman.

Ranbir Kapoor recently shared his thoughts on Ramayana, highlighting that the film involves numerous talented performers. He confirmed that his shooting for the first part has already been completed, and they will soon begin shooting for the second part. Ranbir Kapoor will play the role of Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi will portray Sita, and Yash will play Ravana. Additionally, Sunny Deol will likely portray Hanuman, Lara Dutta will play Kaikeyi, and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as Shurpanakha.

According to reports, Ramayana has collaborated with the Oscar-winning VFX company DNEG for its special effects. The first part is expected to release during Diwali in 2026, while the second part will premiere during Diwali in 2027.
