Industrialist Sunjay Kapur, also known as Karisma Kapoor’s former husband, tragically died of a heart attack on June 12 while playing polo in England. Reports suggest a bee flew into his mouth during the game, triggering the attack. Despite quick help, he could not be saved, leaving the business and entertainment worlds in shock.

Sunjay Kapur, 53, was the chairman of auto parts giant Sona Comstar, founded by his father Surinder Kapur in 1977. Under Sunjay’s leadership, the company expanded globally, operating nine factories across India, China, Mexico, Serbia, and the US, and supplying parts for electric two- and three-wheelers. Forbes estimated his wealth at approximately $1.2 billion, placing him among India’s top industrialists.
