Ashika Ranganath’s Cousin Achala Commits Suicide, Family Demands Arrest of Accused

A heartbreaking tragedy has struck the family of popular actress Ashika Ranganath, known for her role in Naa Samiranga.

Achala, 22, a resident of the Kazin Hassan area, reportedly took her own life at a relative’s home in Bengaluru on November 22. The case falls under the Puttenahalli police station’s jurisdiction. Relatives and family members have expressed frustration that no arrests have been made even ten days after the incident.

According to reports, Achala, who was Ashika’s maternal uncle’s daughter, had recently completed her engineering degree and was preparing to start her career. She had reportedly been in contact with a distant relative named Mayank for a few days. However, Mayank, allegedly struggling with drug addiction, pretended to have feelings for her and pressured her into a sexual relationship before marriage.

When Achala refused, she was reportedly harassed repeatedly. Her mother stated that Mayank had allegedly attacked Achala multiple times, subjected her to mental torture, and continuously contacted her over the phone. Following this, a case has been registered against Mayank and his mother, Maina, at the Hassan City police station. Achala’s parents are demanding swift action and the immediate arrest of those responsible for this tragedy.
