Chennai High Court Dismisses Actor Prabhu's Petition
The Chennai High Court recently issued orders to seize the home of late Kollywood legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan. Actor Prabhu, the second son of Sivaji Ganesan, filed a petition challenging this decision. Sivaji Ganesan's eldest son, Ramkumar's heir Dushyant became a producer and made the film "Jagajala Killadi." However, he failed to repay a loan taken from Dhanshree Enterprises, which led the company to approach the Chennai High Court. The court ordered Dushyant to repay the loan amount, including interest, totaling ₹9.38 crore.
Despite the court's orders, Dushyant ignored the payment and the court issued directions to seize the house of Sivaji Ganesan a few days ago. Dushyant and his father Ramkumar stated that they had no rights over the property. However, actor Prabhu, Sivaji Ganesan's second son, claimed that the rights to the house solely belonged to him. Prabhu filed a petition in court requesting the cancellation of the seizure order on the house.
The lawyer representing Dhanshree Enterprises argued that it is unbelievable that Sivaji Ganesan’s eldest son has no rights to such a valuable property in a city like Chennai. The lawyer also raised questions about whether actor Prabhu truly had full ownership of the house. Based on the arguments presented by both parties, the court dismissed actor Prabhu's petition.
