Kannada Filmmaker Guruprasad Discovered Dead in Bengaluru
Renowned Kannada director Guruprasad was found dead in his Bengaluru apartment, with police suspecting suicide due to financial struggles and creditor pressure.

His decomposed body was discovered after neighbors reported a strong odor. Authorities believe he died several days prior. The 52-year-old filmmaker, known for impactful films like Matha, Eddelu Manjunatha, and Director’s Special, was under significant stress from mounting debts, harassment from creditors, and ongoing court cases. He had recently remarried, with his pregnant wife staying with her family at the time of his death.
