Darshan associate Pavithra Gowda bail
Pavithra Gowda, an associate of Kannada actor Darshan, was released from Bengaluru Central Prison after being jailed in connection with the murder of Renukaswamy. Darshan, arrested on June 11 for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping and killing of 33-year-old Renukaswamy, appeared at a Bengaluru Sessions Court on Monday to complete his bail formalities.
Renukaswamy's body found near a drain in Sumanahalli, Bengaluru, showed signs of torture. Investigations revealed that he had sent obscene messages to Pavithra Gowda, which led to his kidnapping, torture, and murder. While four individuals initially confessed to the crime citing a financial dispute, further investigation pointed to a conspiracy involving Darshan, Gowda, and 15 others.
Despite the bail granted to the accused, Renukaswamy’s father expressed confidence in the judiciary and hoped for justice. Meanwhile, Darshan's fans celebrated the bail outside BGS Hospital, performing rituals.
