Yash's Toxic adds Hollywood action director JJ Perry to its team
It was previously reported that the shooting of Toxic would resume in Mumbai, where Yash and the rest of the team are set to camp at Film City. According to sources, a major portion of the film, helmed by Geetu Mohandas under the KVN Productions banner, will be filmed here. The 45-day shooting schedule will also feature multiple song sequences. In the latest update from the Toxic team, Hollywood action director JJ Perry has joined to choreograph the high-energy action sequences. Perry is known for his work on blockbuster franchises like John Wick, Fast and Furious, and Day Shift.
Perry has already arrived in Mumbai and begun his work on the project. Expressing his excitement about joining the film, Perry shared, "I’m thrilled to be in India working with Yash on Toxic, and it’s going to be amazing. Yash is a phenomenal actor and an incredible action star. He’s kind and generous, and I consider him a brother. I’m proud to call him my friend and work with him. I’m also looking forward to collaborating with Geetu. I’m sure we’ll create something special for the audience."
The film features an ensemble cast, including Nayanthara and Huma Qureshi, who were recently seen filming in Bengaluru. British actors Darrel D’Silva and Benedict Garrett are also part of the project. While Yash’s role has been confirmed, the makers have not yet officially announced the complete cast. Rajeev Ravi is handling the cinematography for Toxic, which will be released in multiple languages. Further details about the technical crew are yet to be disclosed.
