Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra: Dulquer Apologises Over Kannada Dialogue
Dulquer Salmaan apologises after a dialogue in Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra offends Karnataka audiences. The film will remove the controversial line.

The Malayalam film Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, released in Telugu as Kotha Loka and featuring Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen under Dominic Arun’s direction, has been drawing audiences since its August 28 release. Produced by Dulquer Salmaan, the film has seen a positive response at the box office.
Despite its success, a line in the climax sparked criticism in Karnataka for being derogatory toward women from Bengaluru. The use of the word "Dagar" was deemed offensive, prompting public concern.
Addressing the issue, Dulquer Salmaan and Wayfarer Films issued a statement:
"We sincerely apologize for the dialogue in our film that caused distress to the people of Karnataka." There was no intention to offend anyone. The dialogue will be removed or modified, and we apologize sincerely for the oversight."
