Sandra Thomas alleges that Mammootty urged her to withdraw her case against KFPA and subsequently backed out of a film they had planned together. Her KFPA election nomination was rejected over eligibility issues, which she’s now challenging in court, alleging bias and long-standing irregularities.

Sandra criticised Mammootty’s silence and said Mohanlal’s associates have shown support. Previously expelled from KFPA, her candidacy is seen as a challenge to its leadership. Elections are on August 14.
