Actor Ganapathi, known for his role in the Malayalam hit Manjummel Boys, was arrested by Kalamassery Police in Ernakulam for driving under the influence and speeding. The incident took place on a Saturday night when police intercepted a speeding vehicle traveling from Aluva to Kalamassery. Ganapathi was arrested and later released on bail.

A well-known figure in Malayalam cinema, Ganapathi started his career as a dubbing artist in Anandabhadram by Santhosh Sivan. He made his debut as a child actor in the bilingual film Before The Rains, also directed by Sivan. He gained fame for his role in Sathyan Anthikkad's Vinodayathra and has since played diverse roles in films like Chithrashalabhangalude Veedu, Vallikudilile Vellakkaran, Kamattipaadam, Puthan Panam, and Chunkzz.

In addition to acting, Ganapathi co-wrote and starred in Jan.E.Man (2021), directed by his brother Chidambaram. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he demonstrated his directorial skills with the short film Onnu Chirikoo. His more recent projects include the web series Instagraamam and the record-breaking Malayalam film Manjummel Boys. Despite his successful career, this recent incident has attracted unwanted attention.
