Kalyani, the daughter of filmmaker Priyadarshan and actress Lissy, has gained fame through films like Varane Avashyamund, Hridayam, Bro Daddy, and Thallumaala. She was last seen in Varshangalkku Shesham and is currently working on the film Genie, directed by Bhuvanesh Arjunan, alongside Wamiqa Gabbi and Jayam Ravi.
