Malayalam Film Industry Enforces Drug Free Policy From June 26
The Malayalam Film Producers' Association mandates a drug-free affidavit for all film crew members starting June 26. The move aims to create a drug-free environment across the industry.

The Malayalam Film Producers' Association has announced strict measures to curb drug abuse in the industry. Starting June 26, all film crew members—from drivers to superstars—must sign an affidavit pledging to stay drug-free during shoots. This initiative, set to launch on the International Day Against Drug Abuse, comes in response to a series of recent arrests linked to drug use among actors and film crew members.
After broad industry discussions, the move has received widespread support, with AMMA also likely to back the initiative.
