A tragedy has struck Malayalam superstar Mammootty’s family. His father-in-law P.S. Abu (aged 92) has passed away. He had been suffering from health issues for some time and breathed his last on Wednesday morning. He is survived by his daughter Sulfath Kutty (Mammootty’s wife) and four other children. Mammootty’s family is currently in deep mourning over this loss.

Mammootty, who has been acting since 1971, has featured in over 300 films. He enjoys a good fan base even in Telugu cinema. His son, Dulquer Salmaan, has also gained wide recognition across India as a pan-India actor. Recently, Mammootty appeared in movies like Bramayugam, Turbo, and Bazooka.

Just a day before the demise of Mammootty’s father-in-law, another senior star from the Malayalam industry, Mohanlal’s uncle Gopinath Nair, also passed away. He, too, had been battling health issues for a few days. With the loss of loved ones in both households, fans of the two legendary actors are offering heartfelt condolences and support.
