Empuraan: Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran's Lucifer Sequel Nears Completion

Prithviraj Sukumaran has announced that Empuraan, the much-anticipated sequel to Lucifer, has entered its final phase of shooting. The film, starring Mohanlal as Khureshi-Ab'raam (Stephen Nedumpally), is set for release on March 27, 2025.

Mohanlal reprises his iconic role as the leader of an international crime syndicate, with Prithviraj returning as Zayed Masood, his loyal right-hand man. The film also sees the return of Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Saikumar, and Nandu from the first film. Directed by Prithviraj with a screenplay by Murali Gopy, Empuraan promises to continue the gripping saga.

The film is being produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas in collaboration with Lyca Productions. Empuraan has been shot across multiple locations, including Kerala, Chennai, Ladakh, the UK, and the US, with Deepak Dev, Sujith Vaassudev, and Stunt Silva handling music, cinematography, and action choreography, respectively.
