Mohanlal's upcoming film with director Tharun Moorthy is titled Thudarum. The first-look poster was released, featuring Mohanlal with schoolchildren. Co-scripted by Tharun Moorthy and KR Sunil, the film stars Shobana as the female lead, reuniting with Mohanlal after Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded (2009).

The supporting cast includes Binu Pappu, Maniyanpilla Raju, Farhaan Faasil, and Thomas Mathew. With cinematography by Shaji Kumar and music by Jakes Bejoy, the film is produced by M Renjith under Rejaputhra Visual Media.

Mohanlal is also awaiting the release of his directorial debut, Barroz, and will return in L2: Empuraan (Lucifer sequel) in 2025. Other projects include Hridayapoorvam and Ram.
