Mohanlal has confirmed his collaboration with director Jithu Madhavan, known for films like Romancham and Aavesham. The actor revealed the news in a recent interview, ending speculations about the project. The film, produced by Sree Gokulam Movies, is set to begin production by mid-2025. The production house previously worked with Mohanlal on Kayamkulam Kochunni, where he made a cameo.

Mohanlal's upcoming releases include his directorial debut Barroz on December 25, followed by Thudarum on January 30, and the sequel Lucifer 2: Empuraan on March 27, 2025. He is also set to star in Mahesh Narayanan's multistarrer, Hridayapoorvam by Sathyan Anthikad, and the multilingual period films Vrushabha and Kannappa.

Meanwhile, Jithu Madhavan is working on Painkili, which marks actor Sreejith Babu's directorial debut, starring Anaswara Rajan and Sajin Gopu.
