The release date for Mohanlal's "Lucifer - 2" has been announced.

The political action thriller "Lucifer," directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, features Mohanlal as the lead.

Released in 2019, the film became an all-time hit in the Malayalam film industry.

A Telugu remake titled "Godfather" starring Chiranjeevi was also made, but it did not perform well.

Prithviraj Sukumaran announced the sequel, "L-2 (Lucifer - 2)."

To celebrate Mohanlal's birthday, a first look of the character Kureshi Abram was released, receiving a great response.

The makers have officially announced that the film will release on March 27 next year, during the summer.

While the first part was released only in Malayalam, "L-2 Empuran" will be a pan-Indian release.

The film is being produced by Lyca Productions, known for high-budget films.

The shooting for this movie is currently ongoing and will soon take place in Gujarat and the UAE.
