Mohanlal’s directorial debut, Barroz, set for a Christmas release on December 25, 2024, brings a new 3D fantasy storytelling experience. At a recent promotional event in Chennai, the actor shared that directing was not initially planned but became a natural progression. He revealed the main challenge was maintaining precision in 3D filming, where even small mistakes could affect the audience's experience. Mohanlal also highlighted the collaboration with top technicians, particularly from Hollywood.

He emphasized that Barroz aims to engage the "inner child" of all viewers, without relying on grand visuals. Additionally, he praised composer Lydian Nadhaswaram for his fresh approach to the film’s music, predicting a bright future for the talented musician.
