The Supreme Court has granted anticipatory bail to Mollywood actor Siddique in a case dating back to 2016. A bench of Justices Bela M Trivedi and Satish Chandra Sharma questioned the delay in filing the complaint, as the incident was allegedly reported eight years later. The court noted that the complainant had posted allegations on Facebook in 2018 but did not approach the police or the Hema Committee. Siddique has denied the allegations, claiming the SIT fabricated the case. The court ruled he would be released on bail if arrested, subject to certain conditions.
