Mohanlal’s upcoming Malayalam film Thudarum, directed by Tharun Moorthy, is set for release on January 30, 2025. The film, a family entertainer, has garnered attention through its promotional content, including posters and location stills. Although the teaser has completed censorship and received a clean ‘U’ certificate, its release has been delayed due to pending pre-release deals.

The teaser, which is reportedly 38 minutes long, will be released once these deals are finalized. Mohanlal plays Shanmugham, a small-town taxi driver with a deep emotional bond with his car. The film also reunites him with actress Shobana after 11 years, with her playing his wife.

Thudarum features a strong cast including Farhaan Faasil, Maniyanpilla Raju, Binu Pappu, and others. The film is produced by Rejaputhra Renjith under the Rejaputhra Visual Media banner and distributed by Aashirvad Cinemas. The music is composed by JJakeBejoy, with cinematography by Shaji Kumar.
