Actor Sriram Arrested In Drug Case, Remanded For 14 Days
Tamil actor Sriram has been arrested in connection with a drug case and placed in 14-day judicial custody following hours of interrogation by Chennai police. Bail plea reportedly filed.
Tamil actor Sriram, originally Srikanth from Andhra Pradesh, was arrested in Chennai in a drug-related case. After nine hours of questioning, he was sent to 14-day judicial custody till July 7.
He and two others allegedly bought drugs from a former AIADMK leader. Police said he used the drugs and had ties to suppliers. He has applied for bail.
Sriram rose to fame with Roja Kootham and became popular among Telugu audiences. His arrest has created a buzz in the film industry.
