Actor Aishwarya Rajesh is set to headline the upcoming film Under-18, a crime-based emotional drama inspired by real-life incidents. The project revolves around the lives of youngsters below the age of 18 and explores the emotional and social consequences of crime on families.

The first look of Under-18 has been unveiled by acclaimed filmmaker Vetrimaaran. The film is directed by Karthik Perumalsamy, who previously worked as an assistant to Vetrimaaran. It is being produced by Jagadish under the banner of SR Productions.

While Aishwarya Rajesh plays the female lead, actor Vikrant will be seen in a pivotal role.

Speaking about the project, director Karthik Perumalsamy stated that the film is designed as an emotional drama that portrays the harsh realities of crime and its deep impact on affected families. He revealed that the narrative draws inspiration from real events, with the team personally examining lesser-known crime incidents across the state to shape the story. The film aims to present a compelling blend of social realism and family emotions to resonate with audiences.
