Ajith Kumar's Vidaamuyarchi, a Tamil action thriller, has officially received a U/A certificate from the CBFC after minor edits. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the film also stars Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and others. The film, inspired by the 1997 thriller Breakdown, follows a couple whose journey turns into a nightmare.

Vidaamuyarchi, produced by Lyca Productions, was originally slated for a January 2025 release but was delayed, with the exact reasons undisclosed. The CBFC's approval came after the removal of offensive language, adjustments to a violent scene, and the deletion of brand names linked to intoxicants, without affecting the film's runtime of 150 minutes.

The film's music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography by Om Prakash ISC. Set in Azerbaijan and Thailand, it promises intense action and drama. Fans are eagerly awaiting updates on its official release date.
