Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India: Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman is back in the spotlight following recent remarks about the Hindi film industry that sparked widespread discussion.
Amid the debate, Rahman released a new track titled “Mayile” from the upcoming film Moon Walk, which stars Prabhu Deva in the lead. Directed by Manoj Nirmala Sreedharan, the film is billed as a family entertainer blending music, dance, and humor.
Rahman introduced the film’s second single on social media, writing, “Miley… listen to it and tell me whether you like it or not.” Sung by Joel Joe with lyrics by Vishnu Edwin, the song carries an energetic tone, encouraging listeners to overcome hardships with optimism.
Reunion After 25 Years: The project marks a special reunion between Rahman and Prabhu Deva after nearly 25 years. While Prabhu Deva showcases his signature dance skills, Rahman is also set to make a rare cameo as a stern director. Moon Walk is scheduled for a theatrical release in May.
