Dhanush Announces Idli Kadai and Ashok Selvan Responds

Amidst rumors that Ashok Selvan would play Dhanush's brother, Ashok took to X (formerly Twitter) to set the record straight. He expressed his admiration for Dhanush, stating he is a 'huge fan' and hopes to collaborate with him in the future, but confirmed he is not involved in Idli Kadai.

A tweet suggested that Arun Vijay would portray the antagonist and Nithya Menen would be the female lead, with filming currently taking place in Theni and a subsequent schedule planned for Chennai. Ashok's fans appreciated his clarification, although some expressed disappointment. Comments varied from gratitude to hopeful suggestions for his reunion with Ajith Kumar after Billa 2.

Dhanush shared a concept poster for Idli Kadai, depicting a roadside shack under a starry sky, with a shopkeeper and a customer.
