Dhanush has filed a case against Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan, and their production company Rowdy Pictures for using footage from the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan without permission in Nayanthara's documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale.

The actor's production company, Wunderbar Films, filed a civil suit in the Madras High Court, alleging that the visuals and songs from the film were used without approval. This follows an earlier legal notice sent by Dhanush, demanding Rs 10 crore in compensation for the unauthorized use of the content in the Netflix documentary.
