After directing Raayan, Dhanush is now busy with his upcoming film Idli Kadai. The makers have officially announced that the movie will be released in theaters on April 10, 2025.

In addition to directing the film, Dhanush will also star in it and co-produce the project. The film features Nithya Menen in a key role, though more details about the cast and plot are yet to be revealed. From the newly released poster, it appears that Dhanush’s character will be the owner of a modest eatery named Sivanesan Idli Kadai.

Idli Kadai will be Dhanush's fourth film as a director, following Pa Paandi, Raayan, and the upcoming Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam.

GV Prakash Kumar will compose the music for the film, continuing his successful collaborations with Dhanush in projects such as Vaathi, Captain Miller, and Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam. The film will be a joint production by Dawn Pictures, Red Giant Movies, and Wunderbar Films, with Aakash Baskaran and Dhanush as producers, and Sreyas Srinivasan serving as the executive producer.
