Dhanush's Kuberaa Gets U/A Certificate, Final Runtime Now 2h 50m
Dhanush’s Kuberaa gets a U/A certificate with an initial runtime of 3 hours 15 minutes, sparking discussions. Producer confirms the film will be trimmed to around 2 hours 50 minutes ahead of its June

Dhanush’s upcoming film Kuberaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula and releasing on June 20, has gained attention for its long runtime. Certified U/A, the pan-Indian film—shot in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi—was initially 195 minutes (3 hours 15 minutes), making it the third longest Tamil film ever after Parthiban Kanavu (1960) and Thavamai Thavamirundhu (2005).
Following speculation about a possible trim, producer Sunil clarified that while the final copy was censored to avoid last-minute issues, the film will be shortened to around 2 hours and 50 minutes. He emphasized the need to retain the film’s emotional and narrative depth, with final post-production still underway.
