Despite producers’ promotions, audiences have been slow to visit theaters. For Dhanush’s latest film, Kuberaa, the Andhra Pradesh government has approved a ticket price hike up to Rs 75 in multiplexes and single screens for 10 days, applicable only to higher-class tickets.

Dhanush stars in this Telugu film alongside senior actor Akkineni Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna. Produced by Asian Cinemas’ Sunil and Ram Mohan Rao, with music by Devi Sri Prasad, Kubera’s trailer has generated strong interest.

The producers requested the price hike through the Telugu Film Chamber, and the AP government granted permission ahead of the film’s Friday release.
