Chennai: Tamil actor Dhanush continues to expand his film lineup across multiple languages, reinforcing his reputation as one of Indian cinema’s most versatile stars. The actor, who has been actively working in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films, is reportedly set to collaborate with actress Rukmini Vasanth for an upcoming project directed by Tamilarasan Pachamuthu.

According to industry sources, Tamilarasan Pachamuthu—best known for his work on Labbar Pandhu—has received the green signal for his next directorial venture with Dhanush. The film is expected to mark Dhanush’s 56th project, and Rukmini Vasanth, who gained widespread recognition after her performance in Kantara, is said to have been finalized as the female lead. Veteran actor Vijayakumar is reportedly being considered to play the antagonist in the film, although an official announcement is still awaited.

Meanwhile, Dhanush remains busy with several projects currently in production. He has already completed shooting for ‘Kara’, directed by Por Thozhil filmmaker Vignesh Raja, and is simultaneously working on another film helmed by Rajkumar Periasamy, the director of Amaran. That project features Sai Pallavi and Srileela as the leading ladies.

Apart from these ventures, Dhanush is also involved in ambitious biographical projects based on legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja and former Indian President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, both of which are currently progressing in production.

In addition, discussions are reportedly underway for future collaborations, including a Telugu film with director Sekhar Kammula and a Hindi project with filmmaker Aanand L Rai. With multiple projects spanning different languages and industries, Dhanush continues to demonstrate his growing pan-Indian appeal and dedication to diverse storytelling.
