Engineering Student Sends Legal Notice
Due to receiving phone calls from strangers, V.V. Vageeshan, an engineering student from Chennai, has sent legal notices to the producers of the film Amaran. This is because of a scene in the movie that is being highlighted. In this particular scene, Sai Pallavi throws a torn paper with her phone number written on it. However, this scene has caused problems for the student.
Though one of the digits in the phone number is unclear, the number still appears to be the student’s actual phone number on the silver screen. As a result, many people tried calling the number, believing they could speak with Sai Pallavi. After receiving repeated calls, Vageeshan muted his phone. Later, upon hearing some voice messages, he realized that his mobile number was the one displayed in the movie.
The constant phone calls not only caused him immense trouble but also led to mental distress. Vageeshan, seeking a resolution, tagged director Raj Kumar Periyaswamy and actor Sivakarthikeyan on social media. However, as he received no response, he filed a defamation lawsuit demanding a compensation of 1 crore rupees. Vageeshan mentioned that since his phone number is linked with his Aadhaar, bank cards, and other academic platforms, he will not change it. It remains to be seen how the Amaran team will respond to Vageeshan’s legal action.
