GV Prakash Kumar: From Composer to Star
GV Prakash Kumar, who entered the industry as AR Rahman's son-in-law, has created his own mark in the industry. Despite starting his career through this connection, he quickly rose to fame as a music director. Within a short time, GV became a star composer and continued to enjoy success with back-to-back hits. His popularity soared with the blockbusters Amaran and Lucky Bhaskar. While the story of Amaran was strong, the music also played a crucial role in its success. There are rumors in Kollywood that GV Prakash has been selected for a movie directed by Kamal Haasan under the direction of Ambariv.
GV Prakash is not only working as a music director but also pursuing a career as an actor. He has expanded his focus beyond Tamil films and into Telugu cinema as well. This year, he composed music for Lucky Bhaskar and Matka. Additionally, he is providing the music for Nithin Robin Hood, which will be released as a Christmas gift. Along with these, GV Prakash is also working on several other films, including Dhanush Idli Kadai, Vikram Veer Dhur Suran, and two Bollywood films. Moreover, he is handling the background score for Ajith's Good Bad Ugly, which is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
GV Prakash is continuously providing music for big star films, and he has built a reputation for being punctual and always available to directors. Unlike others like Anirudh, Devi Sri Prasad, and Thaman, who take time to complete their work, GV is known for finishing his assignments on time and being easily accessible to directors. This reputation has helped him maintain a strong presence in the industry.
