Kaithi 2 Sequel: Karthi and Malayalam Actress Rachita Vijay to Star Together?

Sequels are currently trending in the film industry. Telling the same story in two or three parts has become a fashion. In this context, fans celebrate when a sequel to a hit film is announced. Karthi is one of the heroes who enjoys great fame in both Tamil and Telugu. His film Kaithi has a separate fan base, and it’s no exaggeration to say so.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who gave a break to Karthi with Kaithi, is known for introducing the concept of bringing characters from one movie into another. Even though there are many sensational directors in South cinema, it was Lokesh who first introduced the idea of creating a cinematic universe. Now, directors like Prashanth Neel, Prashanth Varma, and Nag Ashwin are following in his footsteps. However, no matter how many movies Lokesh directs, the craze for Kaithi remains unmatched. Lokesh and Karthi have already confirmed that the sequel, Kaithi 2, is coming. Karthi had mentioned earlier that shooting for Kaithi 2 might begin this summer.

As everyone eagerly waits for Kaithi 2, there are rumors circulating about the film. It is being speculated that Malayalam beauty Rachita Vijay will star alongside Karthi in Kaithi 2. Reports say she will appear in flashback scenes with Karthi, and this news is gaining traction in the Kollywood media. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen. Currently, Lokesh Kanagaraj is working on the film KooLi with Rajinikanth, but it’s being made as a standalone film, not part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. After finishing KooLi, Lokesh is expected to work on Kaithi 2. Additionally, he is planning other films like Vikram 2, Leo 2, and Rolex. Completing these projects will likely take him three to four years. As for Karthi, after his success in the film Satya Sundaram last year, he is now working on Sardar 2 directed by Mitran. After finishing this film, Karthi is set to begin Kaithi 2.
