Dream Warrior Pictures has announced a new project starring Karthi, directed by Tamizh, tentatively titled Karthi29. The film will start shooting after Karthi finishes Sardar 2, with a planned release in 2025. This will be Tamizh’s first theatrical release, following his debut with the Hotstar film Taanakkaran (2022). The movie will be produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu, with Ishan Saksena, Sunil Shah, and Raja Subramanian as co-producers. This marks Karthi's seventh collaboration with Dream Warrior Pictures. After Karthi29, they are expected to work together on the sequel to Kaithi (2019).

Karthi is also gearing up for the release of Meiyazhagan, directed by C Prem Kumar, set to release on September 27.
