Khushbu Sundar Reacts Strongly to Gouri G Kishan’s Body Shaming Incident

Malayalam actress Gouri G Kishan recently went through an unpleasant incident during a promotional event for her latest Tamil film, where she plays the lead role. While interacting with the media, a journalist asked her an inappropriate and humiliating question — “How much do you weigh?”

The actress, visibly surprised, responded by questioning the relevance of such a query. “Why do you need to know my weight? That’s a disrespectful question — this amounts to body shaming,” she replied firmly. The journalist, however, tried to justify himself, claiming it wasn’t body shaming. Their brief exchange has since gone viral online.

Khushbu Sundar’s Reaction

Veteran actress Khushbu Sundar expressed her strong disapproval of the journalist’s behavior. Condemning the act, she said, “Some people are misusing journalism. Why should anyone be concerned about a woman’s weight? Would you dare ask a male actor the same question? This is utterly disgraceful.”

She also praised Gouri for handling the situation gracefully, saying the young actress deserves appreciation for standing up for herself.

Further Clarification

Khushbu went on to add, “Would you feel comfortable if such indecent questions were asked to the women in your own family? Learn to show respect — it goes both ways.”

However, there was a minor mix-up in her social media post — she mistakenly tagged #GauriShankar instead of #GouriKishan. Fans quickly noticed and corrected her, pointing out the error politely.
