Director-Actor S.S. Stanley Passes Away in Chennai

Kollywood director and actor S.S. Stanley has passed away. He had been suffering from ill health for some time and died at a hospital in Chennai. He directed films like Pudukkottaiyilirundhu Saravanan, April Maadhathil, and East Coast Road. Stanley also acted in several Tamil hit films. His last appearance was in Vijay Sethupathi’s movie Maharaja.

Stanley was one of the most popular directors in Tamil cinema during the 2000s. He trained under renowned directors Mahendran and Sasi. He worked as an assistant director for 12 years before entering direction.In 2002, Stanley made his directorial debut with the film April Maadhathil. Starring Srikanth and Sneha, the film became a massive hit among youth. With this film, Stanley gained popularity by attracting a large audience with his very first movie.
