Kriti Shetty Arijith Shankar film
Generally, when a hero or heroine scores a major hit, it is believed that multiple opportunities will follow. However, in the case of actress Kriti Shetty, the situation appears to be different. The Kannada-born actress made her Telugu debut with the film Uppena, which turned out to be a big success and opened doors to several projects. One or two of her subsequent films also performed well. Later, however, her standing in Tollywood weakened after a series of consecutive releases failed to impress at the box office.
Multiple projects in Kollywood
Kriti Shetty later appeared in bilingual Telugu-Tamil films such as The Warrior and Custody, but these movies did not deliver the expected results. Despite this setback, she managed to secure roles in three back-to-back Tamil films. Due to unavoidable circumstances, the release of all three projects has been postponed. Amid this delay, fresh reports suggest that Kriti Shetty has landed yet another exciting opportunity in Kollywood.
Shankar’s son steps in as hero
Renowned filmmaker Shankar’s son, Arijith Shankar, is preparing to make his debut as a lead actor. He previously worked as an assistant director under AR Murugadoss and is now set to enter films as a hero. Earlier speculation indicated that Mamita Baiju might be cast as the female lead opposite Arijith in this project.
Kriti Shetty to be paired opposite Arijith
Latest updates reveal that Kriti Shetty has been finalized as the leading lady alongside Arijith Shankar. Discussions are also underway to bring Bollywood filmmaker and actor Anurag Kashyap on board for the antagonist’s role. The film will be directed by a former associate of Atlee, who will be making his debut as a director. An official confirmation regarding the project is expected to be announced soon.
