Rajinikanth recently underwent a successful elective procedure in Chennai, where a stent was placed near his lower abdominal area to treat a swelling in his aorta. He is now recuperating at home after being treated by a team of doctors, including Senior Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish.

Amid concerns about his health being affected by the shoot of his upcoming film Coolie, director Lokesh Kanagaraj clarified that the shoot had no impact. He revealed that Rajinikanth had informed the team about his planned treatment 40 days earlier and was hospitalized while the crew was shooting in Vizag. Lokesh reassured fans that the superstar’s health is a priority.

Before his hospitalization, Rajinikanth made headlines with his energetic appearance at the Vettaiyan audio launch, which is set to release on October 10.
