Vrusshabha: Mohanlal's Film Faces Another Delay
The much-anticipated Mohanlal starrer Vrusshabha has once again missed its release date. The film, directed by Nanda Kishore, is planned for a pan-India launch.
Initially scheduled to release last year, Vrusshabha has experienced multiple postponements due to production delays. The makers had announced a release on November 6 across Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. However, the film did not reach audiences as expected. The latest delay has been attributed to ongoing VFX work, and while producers have not confirmed a new date, industry insiders suggest a release could happen by late December or early 2026.
Produced under the banners of Connect Media, Balaji Telefilms, and Abhishek S Vyas Studios, the project involves Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R Kapoor, C. Thomas, Padma Kumar, Varun Mathur, Saurabh Mishra, Abhishek S Vyas, Pravir Singh, Vishal Gurnani, and Juhi Parekh Mehta as producers.
Vrusshabha is a historical action drama made on a significant budget. Director Nanda Kishore described it as a film that blends intense emotions with striking visuals, exploring themes of bonds and sacrifices. Ekta Kapoor added that the story is complex yet unique, promising audiences a fresh cinematic experience.
Alongside Mohanlal in the lead, the cast includes Samarjit Lankesh, Ragini Dwivedi, and Nayan Sarika in pivotal roles. The music is composed by Sam C.S., with sound design by Oscar winner Resul Pookutty.
