Nagarjuna Akkineni is set to star alongside Rajinikanth in the upcoming film Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Announcing the news on Nagarjuna’s birthday, Kanagaraj shared on X that Nagarjuna will play a key role as Simon in the film. The director also revealed Nagarjuna’s first look, showcasing him with a rugged beard and mustache.

Nagarjuna expressed his excitement about working with Kanagaraj, mentioning his long-time desire to collaborate since Kaithi. Produced by Kalanidhi Maran’s Sun Pictures, Coolie also features Soubin Shahir. Additionally, Nagarjuna will appear in the anticipated social drama Kubera, with his first look unveiled in May.
