Nayanthara has hit back at Dhanush after he sent a legal notice demanding Rs 10 crore for the unauthorized use of clips from their 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in her Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale. In an open letter, Nayanthara accused Dhanush of harboring a personal grudge against her and her partner, Vignesh Shivan, and criticized his refusal to grant permission to use the film’s clips and songs despite multiple requests. She expressed disappointment over his legal action, calling it a personal vendetta.

Nayanthara also reminded Dhanush that success doesn’t take away from others and urged him to find peace and happiness in celebrating others’ achievements. Her husband, Vignesh Shivan, shared a video of Dhanush speaking about negativity, expressing hope for a change in attitude.

Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale, which explores her life and career, will stream on Netflix starting November 18.
