Nayanthara Responds to Dhanush's Legal Notice Over Documentary Controversy

It is known that there is a dispute between Lady Superstar Nayanthara and Tamil star actor Dhanush regarding the documentary "Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale." Dhanush recently filed a lawsuit in the Madras High Court, claiming that Nayanthara used a three-second clip from the movie "Nenu Rowdy Ne" in the documentary without permission. In response to this, Nayanthara's lawyer clarified that there was no copyright infringement in the documentary.

The lawyer explained that the visuals used in the documentary were not from the movie but were related to behind-the-scenes (BTS) footage. These were part of Nayanthara's personal library and thus do not constitute a violation. The lawyer emphasized that no copyright laws were broken and stated this in an interview with an English media outlet. Meanwhile, the next hearing in this case will be held in the Madras High Court on December 2 (Monday).

This dispute between Nayanthara and Dhanush has been ongoing for some time now. The documentary, which is streaming on the popular OTT platform Netflix, shares interesting details about Nayanthara's journey, including her marriage. However, Dhanush, who worked as a producer for the movie "Nenu Rowdy Ne," claimed that the clips used in the documentary were shot without his permission. As a result, he demanded a compensation of ₹10 crores and sent legal notices to Nayanthara. In turn, Nayanthara released an open letter targeting Dhanush, stating that she would settle the matter legally. This issue has become a hot topic of discussion in the Tamil film industry.
