Netflix Acquires Kamal Hasan's 'Thug Life' Streaming Rights

Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, two legends of Kollywood, have reunited after 36 years for their upcoming film Thug Life, which is currently in production. The film features Haasan in a triple role as Rangaraya, Sakthivel, and Nayakar, though further plot details remain undisclosed.

In a remarkable move, Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights for Thug Life for an impressive 150 crore, a substantial deal for a film still in production. This follows the success of Haasan's Vikram and Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan series, raising fan expectations.

The film stars Trisha alongside a talented ensemble, including Simbu, Nassar, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, and Sanya Malhotra. Produced by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, and others under Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies, and Red Giant Movies, The film is set to feature an impressive score composed by AR Rahman.
