Tamil superstar Rajinikanth recently appeared on screen with the film Vettaiyan, which had a mixed response at the box office despite high expectations. Now, fans and movie lovers are eagerly focusing on Coolie, a film directed by Kollywood star director Lokesh Kanagaraj, featuring Rajinikanth in a lead role.

Exciting news has emerged for Thalaiva’s fans. The film Coolie is set to be released as a summer treat in 2025. Additionally, Lokesh Kanagaraj is gearing up to start the blockbuster sequel Kaithi 2 with actor Karthi, which will go on floors in August next year. With both announcements arriving at once, movie lovers are thrilled.

The Coolie teaser, featuring weapons and watch chains designed in gold, showcases Rajinikanth performing stylish fight scenes, increasing curiosity about the film. Set against a backdrop of gold smuggling, Coolie stars Satya Raj, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Mahendran, and Manju Mammen Boys actor Soubin Shahir in key roles.

Under the Sun Pictures banner, this film is being produced by Kalanithi Maran, with music and background score by Anirudh Ravichander. The footage released so far hints that Rajinikanth will be playing the role of a smuggler in Coolie.
