Rajinikanth's 'Coolie' to Resume Shooting in Thailand, Global Release Set for May 2025

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth is presently involved in the production of the film "Coolie," directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.The movie is in the filming stage. Today, Rajinikanth traveled to Thailand for the next schedule. Speaking to the media at Chennai Airport, Rajinikanth mentioned that 70% of the shooting for "Coolie" has been completed. He also revealed that the next schedule will begin on January 13 and will continue until January 28.

Recently, news came out that during the shooting schedule in Jaipur, Rajasthan, scenes involving Amir Khan, Upendra, Rajinikanth, Reba Monica John, and the team were filmed at the Sambhar Lake area.The movie "Coolie" is set to have a grand global release on May 1, 2025.

The movie is based on illegal gold smuggling and stars Sathyaraj, Mahendran, Akkineni Nagarjuna, and Soubin Shahir from "Manjummel Boys" in key roles. The film is being produced under the Sun Pictures banner by Kalanidhi Maran, with music and background score provided by Anirudh Ravichander.
