Tamil superstar Rajinikanth recently experienced health issues during the shooting schedule of 'Coolie' in Vizag. He was admitted to Chennai Apollo Hospital due to swelling in a major blood vessel near his heart, which required treatment through a transcatheter method and the implantation of a stent. After a few days of care, he was discharged and is now recovering.

Amidst concerns about his health due to the shooting, director Lokesh Kanagaraj addressed the rumors, emphasizing that there is no truth to the claims. He clarified that Rajinikanth had informed the team about needing surgery during the Vizag schedule, which wrapped up by September 28. Lokesh reassured fans that Rajinikanth's health is the priority and that the second shooting schedule in Chennai is set to begin on October 15, when Rajinikanth will return to the sets. The film also features actors Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, and Sathyaraj.
