Rajinikanth Supports Vijay Amid Political Party Launch, Addresses Durai Murugan's Remarks

Rajinikanth, a legendary figure in Indian cinema, consistently captures public attention with his statements and actions. Recently, during a press interaction at Chennai airport, he addressed two pressing issues: Durai Murugan's controversial comments and Vijay's political party flag launch.

When questioned about Durai Murugan's remarks following his recent speech, Rajinikanth emphasized that he has always considered Durai Murugan a close friend, interpreting the comments as part of their friendly rapport rather than a serious disagreement. Regarding Vijay's foray into politics and the launch of his party flag, Rajinikanth expressed his support, wishing Vijay success in his new political venture.

Rajinikanth also attended the book launch of "Kalaingar Ennum Thaai," authored by Tamil Nadu minister E. V. Velu, where he served as the chief guest. The event was in honor of the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Kalaingar Karunanidhi, and Rajinikanth praised the former leader, reflecting on his longstanding friendship with E. V. Velu.

During his speech, Rajinikanth humorously referred to Tamil Nadu minister Durai Murugan as the most prominent "thug" in state politics, urging senior politicians to make way for the younger generation. In response, Durai Murugan made a sarcastic remark, suggesting that senior actors who have passed their prime should also step aside for the new generation. This comment was perceived as a public jab at Rajinikanth, sparking some controversy.
