Shine Tom Chacko Acquitted in 2015 Drug Case, Continues Film Journey

Actor Shine Tom Chacko, along with six others, was acquitted in a drug case by a Kerala court on Tuesday. In 2015, police seized cocaine from an apartment and arrested Chacko and six others in connection with the case. After being released on bail, he continued acting in films while the court proceedings were ongoing.

During the hearing at the Ernakulam First Additional District and Sessions Court, Justice Sulekha examined the case details and evidence before declaring all accused, including Chacko, not guilty. Among the six acquitted, four were women, along with a Nigerian national and a person named Prithviraj from Tamil Nadu.

Shine Tom Chacko, who gained recognition for his villainous role as Chinnanambi in Nani's film Dasara, subsequently secured roles in Tamil and Malayalam films. He also played a key role in Devara last year. In 2024, he appeared as Inspector Stephen in Daku Maharaj. His upcoming films include Lucifer 2 with Mohanlal, Chathuli, Bazooka, Aaram Thirukalpana, Vellappam, and Paradise Circus.
