Sivakarthikeyan stars in the biopic Amaran, depicting Indian army soldier Mukund Varadarajan, who received the Ashok Chakra posthumously. The film releases on October 31.
In promotional interviews, he shared that the significance of the military uniform influenced his decision to take the role, reflecting on similarities to his late father, a police officer. He noted the challenges of portraying a real-life hero and felt immense pride while wearing the uniform, even before the film's release. After his first shot, he received praise from actual military personnel.
Directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy and produced by Kamal Haasan, Amaran features music by GV Prakash and includes Sai Pallavi, Rahul Bose, and Lallu in the cast.
